Doug Davenport, a partner in the lobbying firm DCI Group, previously worked as director of government relations by lottery system supplier GTECH. As one of McCain's regional managers focusing on the mid-Atlantic region, he made headlines recently when it was reported that his lobbying firm, the DCI Group, had been hired in 2002 to represent the interests of the Burmese junta. Davenport resigned soon after.[1] He also worked as an advisor to the presidential campaigns of Bob Dole and George H.W. Bush. Recent clients include AT&T, General Motors, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm and Verizon.[2]
